A WEB-ENABLED VERSION OF EZ MAINTENANCE SOON TO BE AVAILABLE. INCLUDES AUTOMATIC MAINTNENACE UPDATING PLUS GPS 18
Mar, 2004 |
|
Pinacia Inc., manufacturer of EZ Maintenance software, has
announced the development of a Web-enabled version of the
program. This Web enablement will enable companies to access the
same maintenance management software program at all localities
via the Internet. Each location can independently schedule and
track the maintenance for which they are responsible, while
maintenance executives will have the ability to monitor the
maintenance records of any vehicle or piece of equipment located
anywhere at anytime.
The standard version of EZ Maintenance software is a $1,495.00
Windows compatible, network/multi-user ready program. Designed
for use on a single network, the standard version of EZ
Maintenance will schedule and track maintenance, create work
orders, and track fuel costs. It has a complete parts inventory
section, and generates over 80 history reports along with
additional features. EZ Maintenance will handle an unlimited
number of both vehicles and equipment.
All of these capabilities will be included in the Web enabled
version of the software. The availability of EZ Maintenance
software, via the Internet, also allows emergency maintenance
work orders for specific vehicles or equipment to be set up,
completed and monitored from anywhere in the world. Currently,
customers using the standard version of EZ Maintenance software
range from companies such as Lockheed, Northrop, GE and Walt
Disney World down to smaller firms with only a handful of
vehicles and/or equipment.
The Web enabled version of EZ Maintenance will also offer fleets
the option to install inexpensive onboard hardware which will
capture vehicle mileage or equipment hours. The hardware then
transmits that data directly into EZ Maintenance for automatic
updating of maintenance schedules. GPS tracking services will
also be available through the same hardware.
The Web-enabled version of EZ Maintenance will be on line
between June and July of this year. Companies needing
maintenance software will now have four options with EZ
Maintenance. If all that is needed is the scheduling and
tracking of vehicles working out of a single location, the
standard Windows EZ Maintenance product can be used. The Web
enabled version of EZ Maintenance will allow uses a very
economical means to schedule and maintain vehicles at a variety
of locations by using EZ Maintenance on the Internet as if it
were installed in their office, or to install inexpensive
electronics in their vehicles to either upgrade maintenance
requirements automatically, or to upgrade maintenance
requirements and have GPS tracking for each vehicle.
